Piraeus Bank's newly created subsidiary, ABC Professional Services, is to use software from Euronet Worldwide to launch its credit and debit card processing outsourcing services to banks and credit card issuing retail customers across Greece and the surrounding region.
The credit card solution includes Euronet's integrated transaction management (ITM), goldnet, credit card, debit card, POS and merchant management systems.
Nikos Fountas, general manager of ABC, says: "We selected Euronet Worldwide because of its high-quality products and its favourable reputation for delivering superior professional services to customers."
Piraeus Bank will be the company's first customer, with more than 400,000 active cards.
As part of the agreement, ABC and Euronet will also co-develop installment payment services and interest rate calculators.
