Bayerische Landesbank (BLB), Germany's fifth largest bank, has gone live with Misys International Banking Systems' Midas core banking solution for its international branch operations in Toronto.
In creating a new, independent branch in Canada, the bank plans to expand its market reach in North America, and provide banking services to Canadian corporate customers as well as subsidiaries of German corporations.
To support the operational requirements of its Toronto office, the bank has installed the Midas core ledger system, together with the treasury dealing, securities and lending processing modules.
BLB is a long-standing user of Misys' Midas system, which is deployed throughout the bank's network of international branches in New York, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
