Computershare will provide the services globally through its subsidiaries located in New York, London and Melbourne, in support of Citibank's involvement in corporate transactions.

Jeffrey Volk, managing director of Citibank Agency and Trust, comments: "Having worked with Computershare in overseas markets and in the United States, we know it has the capacity to support our involvement in large international, domestic and cross border corporate actions."

Recent transactions for which Citibank partnered with Computershare include SingTel's A$7 billion acquisition of Cable and Wireless Optus in Sydney and Citigroup's US$2.2 billion acquisition of Schroders PLC in London.
