Equant has already implemented a secure data network for DBS travelling executives, which includes dial access services. Equant Frame Relay links the bank's operations in Hong Kong, India, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand.

DBS traveling executives and remote users can now access the bank's network in up to 132 countries using Equant IP Dial with managed authentication. The upgraded infrastructure, which replaces the former DBS International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) network, will minimise down time, reduce network faults and link DBS staff throughout the world, says the bank.

"This successful implementation demonstrates Equant's intrinsic abilities to build a network quickly and efficiently to support a multi-market solution," says Bill Padfield, head of Equant's Asia Pacific Australasia region.
