Scheduled to be available on December 14, the Works Procisa Active Card Control online solution offers companies the ability to approve card purchases before they are made. As a result, says the bank, companies can consolidate more of their spending on their purchasing cards while improving expense control.

The new technology will also help PNC Bank clients automate and streamline the back office reconciliation of purchasing card transactions. These processes include invoice reconciliation, itemisation of card purchases into appropriate general ledger (GL) codes and the ability to export card spending data into back-office financial applications.

The solution is to be rolled out to clients through PNC's Visa purchasing card and Visa commercial card programmes.
