Eastman Kodak Company (Kodak) has signed up to ABN Amro's electronic invoice presentment and payment services for its extensive billing operations.
The bank, in partnership with e-billing outfit BillingZone - itself a subsidiary of PNC Bank and Perot Systems - has been selected to transform Kodak's existing paper-intensive billing process into an electronic paperless invoicing and collection environment. Kodak currently generates several million invoices annually.
According to William Love, treasurer of Kodak, the company wished to create a global infrastructure to invoice customers, automate cash application and collect electronic payments. The payer-centric solution delivered by ABN Amro and BillingZone provides both end-to-end functionality and global reach, he adds.
Cindy Murray, group senior vice president, ABN Amro, comments: "We take an all-inclusive approach to EIPP - accommodating highly variable invoice data and wide-ranging global regulatory requirements while at the same time recognising the importance of payer adoption, all of which are critical to Kodak's B2B transactions."
