Under the exclusive agreement, Corillian's Internet banking platform will be available either from Aspidex' regional data centre or as an on-premise solution.

The Corillian Voyager platform allows financial institutions to provide their customers with real-time access to their accounts, enhanced bill payment and presentment capabilities, customised sorting and tracking options and the ability to download statement data to personal financial management software like Microsoft Money.

According to a recent study conducted by Pyramid Research, banks in the Arab states in the Middle East and North Africa face the erosion of their market share if they do not implement e-banking in the face of deregulation and growth in the Internet. Only 18 of the top 100 Arab banks currently offer e-banking services.
