Randich, who is currently responsible for all technology development and management of data centre operations, will now also take over responsibility for Nasdaq's market operations, corporate information security and the programme management office. He will supervise the implementation of the SuperMontage trading system, which Bailor has been instrumental in establishing.

Prior to joining Nasdaq in late 2000, Randich was executive vice president and CIO of the Chicago Stock Exchange, where he was responsible for all technology, trading-floor and back-office operations, and business product planning and development. He was also a managing principal at IBM Global Services.
