BNP Paribas Luxembourg brings a touch of Genius to mobile banking app

Editorial

Available by default in the BGL BNP Paribas mobile app, 'Genius' keeps track of customer spending and sends users personalised messages in the form of advice, alerts and recommendation on how to better manage their budget.

The algorithm, developed by Personetics, adapts its messages based on ratings given by users.

Geoffroy Bazin, chairman of BGL BNP Paribas, says: "Digitisation and artificial intelligence open the door to countless opportunities to enhance and personalise our products and services, thus enabling us to transition into a bank that looks after the financial well-being of its clients by offering them tailored solutions that are fully adapted to their unique circumstances, both now and in the future."

Finextra’s NextGen Banking London 2019 conference on 16 May will bring together practitioners from across the financial services industry to explore what the AI revolution means for banks - and what financial institutions need to do in the short, medium and longer terms to benefit from AI, and ensure their customers do so as well.
