Launched late last year, Anna provides small businesses with a current account, debit card and digital assistant that helps with financial admin like sending and chasing invoices.

The startup already claims over 3500 customers, some of which appeared to have been snagged by a marketing gimmick around a debit card that miaows every time it is used.

With the new funding in place, the company plans to add features that help customers prepare for HMRC’s initiative Making Tax Digital, analyse expenses, predict cash-flow, and get a clear overview of their finances.

Eduard Panteleev, CEO, Anna, says: "Kinetik’s investment is invaluable in helping us create more useful tools and services that are vital to making the lives easier for our customers; the imaginative and visionary, dedicated and hardworking people behind all small and medium sized businesses."
