Canada's TD Bank has integrated an AI-powered chatbot called Clari into its mobile app to help users keep track of their spending.
Clari is a text-based bot built using the KAI Banking platform from AI specialist Kasisto, with whom TD struck a deal in 2017.
The bot uses AI combined with customers' own TD account and transaction data to provide answers to questions such as when the next credit card payment is due or how much was spent at a specific retailer the previous month.
In addition to providing personalised account and transaction insights, Clari answers common questions, including inquiries about nearby branch locations and exchange rates. If customers need additional information, Clari can also connect them with a live agent.
