Swedish payment processor Bankgirot has outsourced its IT operations to Nordic software house Evry in a seven-year deal valued at SEK700 million.

Bankgirot signs seven-year outsourcing deal with Evry

Under the terms of the agreement, Evry will take responsibility for platform operations, taking on 30 of Bankgirot's 240 full time staff with the objective of improving the efficiency of the Swedish clearing house's payment infrastructure.

Bankgirot occupies a strong position in the Swedish payment market, processing about 6 million transactions worth SEK68 billion every day.
