Money management app Yolt has plugged Anorak into its platform, giving users access to personalised and impartial advice from the life insurance specialist.
ING-owned Yolt is a free app that lets Brits view their bank accounts and credit cards in one place, promising to give them a real view of how much money they have, what shops they're spending it in, and helping them to set budgets.
Fellow 'smart' app Anorak will now offer advice based on the financial insights offered by Yolt, showing users how much life cover they need (if any), for how long and why. Based on this, Anorak matches the user with the best policy from the major insurers.
The partnership is part of Yolt's effort to build out its service to cover all parts of its users' financial lives. It also has a deal in place with energy comparison platform Runpath, and international money exchange provider Moneytis.
Frank Jan Risseeuw, CEO, Yolt, says: "We are delighted to have Anorak on board as a trusted life insurance partner and look forward to working closely with them to provide our users with access to a wide range of innovative products and services tailored to their needs."
For Anorak, the agreement follows a similar tie-up with Starling Bank as the firm looks to take advantage of Open Banking and build up a network of tech-focused partners.
"We’re looking forward to harnessing the power of Open Banking to enable consumers to make the right choice and help them to protect their families financially," says David Vanek, CEO, Anorak.
