US-based Finetix has become the first vendor to release Open Source tools in support of FpML, the XML standard for OTC derivatives.
"Open standards and Open Source go hand in hand. FpML is the open XML standard for derivatives. Now that standard is supported by a free, Open Source reporting tool: Reportix from Finetix," states John O'Sullivan, senior consultant with Finetix.
Reportix is a Java report generation tool that generates publication quality Adobe PDF output. Potential applications include the generation of confirmation notes and contracts from standard FpML.
