The new segment will contain all US stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), S&P 100, Nasdaq 100 and Dow Jones Global Titans 50, the so-called "Xetra US Stars". Index funds on the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 and DJIA can also be traded in the XTF segment.

At Eurex, trading will begin at the same time in euro-denominated stock options on the 10 US stocks AOL Time Warner, Cisco Systems, Citigroup, EMC, General Electric, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle and Sun Microsystems.

Clearstream Banking will clear and settle the trades.

When the Xetra US Stars are launched, Dow Jones Indexes will use the Xetra prices of the US stocks for its calculations of the DJIA and Dow Jones Global Titans 50 before the markets open in the United States.
