Germany's Degussa Bank is to use a white-labeled direct API-based connection to local fintech startup Giromatch to provide clients with faster loan decisions and flexible re-payment terms.
The working cooperation will start with a pilot project which will see corporate customers issued with a virtual Visa-credit card for shopping with Amazon Business.
Founded by former bankers, Giromatch will provide the bank with a 'digital account view' of each applicant, offering a detailed and immediate overview of the financial data as the basis for loan decisions.
Giromatch founder and managing director Robin Buschmann, says: "Giromatch is specialised in digital credit solutions and automated customer onboarding. We have been able to create an optimally coordinated process on a green field, an advantage which banks can hardly imitate."
Silke-Christina Kummer, head of card business advisory & services at Degussa Bank, adds: “In our pilot project Giromatch takes on tasks which require fast and continuous amendments. Furthermore, a small and agile company like Giromatch works in a very efficient manner. This is for the benefit of all of our customers."
