In a statement, the company says: "Given the severity of the disaster, we experienced interruption of services due to operational difficulties resulting from restricted access to our offices, and loss of electric power, Internet connectivity and phone systems. Some of these difficulties are not yet resolved.

"In spite of this, the dedication and commitment of our employees, working around the clock from alternative locations and homes, have made it possible to ensure that the Company will be operational for the critical opening of the US equities markets this morning. Multex has restored service for almost all of its customers who depend on the accurate and up-to-date investment information that is needed to make mission-critical investment decisions."

Multex is posting all the latest operational updates on its corporate Web site. The company advises its clients, shareholders, employees, and well-wishers to continue to visit the site for current updates.
