After careful consideration by The Nasdaq Stock Market, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the New York Stock Exchange, and other exchanges, it was determined that the equities markets will be closed Friday, September 14, 2001.
Testing has been scheduled to ensure that connectivity between market participants is in place, and that systems are ready. Nasdaq is scheduled to reopen on Monday, September 17, 2001.
