Dallas-based Direct Access Financial Corp has teamed with e-trading systems vendor patsystems to launch J-Stox, a single platform providing dedicated global derivatives and US equity trading functionality.
The companies have directly linked patsystems' J-Trader with DAFC systems to provide a full "depth of market" interface to all active market makers and ECNs. Additional functionality allows for options analysis, basket trades and risk management.
Jacques de Cock, CEO of patsystems, says: "J-Stox creates a powerful combination of derivatives and equity trading, developed to provide all existing clients with the capability to actively trade USFs and the underlying equity in the US, from a single screen from their upcoming inception."
Further development of the platform, involving a much fuller integration of key functionality of the two systems is planned for the second phase. During this second phase and in line with other development work, specific functionality can be added enabling patsystems clients (global intermediaries) to roll-out a tailor-made solution to their end-users (institutions, hedge funds, commodity trading advisor).
