UAE telco Etisalat is to lunch a mobile wallet using applications from Oberthur Technologies.
Etisalat says the wallet will enable subscribers to use their smartphone to pay utility bills, top up airtime, pay for parking in different cities, purchase a broad range of goods and services and perform money transfers
The subscriber can control the transactions with automatic reports, notifications and account management features.
Rashed Al Abbar, vice president of consumer innovations at Etisalat, says: “UAE is at the forefront of digital payment development so it was critical for Etisalat to provide its subscribers with innovative m-commerce and m-banking services.”
