In a letter sent out to around 34,500 customers from the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, the electronics giant says it has found a "security issue involving the information of certain customers who used our ecommerce site between May 12, 2015 and April 28, 2016, which resulted in unauthorized access by a third party".

With card details, names and addresses all at risk, the firm says it has reported the breach to its credit card payment processor and federal law enforcement.
