Barclays Business Banking is recovering from an outage that frustrated customers trying to make payments over the long May Day holiday weekend.
Disruption to payments from Barclays.net commenced on Friday and continued throughout the weekend, outraging customers, who expressed frustration over the relative radio silence from the bank regarding the problems.
The bank eventually responded more fully on Tuesday morning
Some remained unconvinced
A Barclays' spokesperson responds: “Earlier we experienced a technical issue affecting some payments during a routine update to our systems. Having taken action services are now returning to normal, and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
