Scotiabank is inviting Toronto's geeks to take part in a hackathon designed to find creative ways to help Canadians manage their debt.
More than 100 techies are set to take part in the 48-hour event at the Scotiabank Centre in downtown Toronto from 5 February, competing for a slice of a $25,000 prize pool.
The money will be split between the top three teams as judged by a panel of industry experts, with selected participants also invited to interview for open positions at the Scotiabank Digital Factory.
Jeff Marshall, head, Scotiabank Digital Factory, says: "We are excited to be engaging with bright, talented innovators and can’t wait to see what their creativity brings to life over the weekend on the important topic of debt management."
