Wells Fargo has expanded its McAfee anti-virus protection to cover all of its internal e-mail users.
With e-mail increasingly recognised as a potential weakspot in corporate security, the US west coast bank has implemented the McAfee GroupShield product for Microsoft Exchange across its entire enterprise.
"McAfee delivered to us a solution to stop viruses before they reach employee desktops," explains a Wells Fargo spokesperson. "With the McAfee GroupShield product running on our Microsoft Exchange servers, we were able to quickly and easily halt viruses like AnnaKournikova and HomePage."
