The agreement centres around System Access's netSymbols software, a retail and wholesale banking system that provides front-to-back e-business infrastructure and customer relationship management functionality across multiple channels. The two companies say they will target their initial efforts in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Available on both HP-UX and HP NetServer platforms, System Access's netSymbols solution will be supported by HP's range of software products including its OpenView transaction management solution. HP will also provide consultancy and project management through its consultancy division, Hewlett-Packard Consulting (HPC).
