MobilePay has established itself as Denmark's leading m-payments service, with over two million people using it for P2P transfers and in-store and online purchases.

By integrating PowaTag, through Powa's SDK, Danske Bank can enable mobile payments from more than 1200 companies around the world, including L’Oreal USA and Best Western, signed up with the vendor.

PowaTag says the deal should prove popular with Danes, who are the world’s fourth most well-travelled people and also do a lot of their online buying from overseas websites.

Mark Wraa-Hansen, head, MobilePay, Danske Bank, says: "With PowaTag we can over time take MobilePay to the next level with a new set of services. The speed and convenience of PowaTag make it an ideal fit with the services that have made MobilePay so popular."
