NCR Corporation has won a five-year, $12 million outsourcing contract to provide cheque imaging services for New York-based NBT Bancorp.
The bank is planning to grow its business and expand its geographic reach and needed a flexible suite of cheque imaging services, including an option for nationwide remote processing.
Joe Kniceley, vice-president, NCR payment solutions, Americas, says: "NCR's nationwide distribution of centres and remote processing options will allow NBT to expand outside its traditional geographic boundaries and add new products without sacrificing service."
NCR's processing centre in Utica, New York, will provide NBT employees with online access to transaction information for inquiries and research. Services will include proof of deposit, clearing and returns processing, first-pass image capture and access to an archive for digital image storage and retrieval.
NCR will also provide corporate cash management services and printed image statements to NBT's clients.
