The Greek bank will take on most of the Thomson Vision modules in a 15-user licence. These include its core system, foreign exchange, money market, securities, FRA/IRS, risk management, Swift Messaging and Dealing 2000/ratefeed interface.

Project implementation plans are already in progress with completion targeted for third quarter of this year.

The bank says it purchased Thomson Vision to help improve dealing room operations. This will permit it to deal with more sophisticated financial instruments while monitoring and measuring the risks involved.

General Bank of Athens marks the fourth installation for Thomson Financial Treasury Solutions in Greece.
