Netherlands-based ING Aetna Financial Services is to deploy an insurance distribution solution from New York-based Bisys. The aim is to increase the firm's presence in the traditional life insurance market.
Bisys administers, distributes and supports multiple insurance products, including life, pensions and disability offerings. Its solution will support more than 1,400 brokers and agents, giving access to products from more than 200 insurers.
Catherine Smith, president of health, education and government distribution, ING Aetna Financial Services, says: "Bisys will serve as a key provider in the development of a broader product portfolio, balanced with our existing range of product offerings and the new products we plan to introduce during 2001."
The company's full-service, insurance infrastructure will also provide the ING Aetna Financial Services sales network with comprehensive back-office services. These will include application processing and case management.
