Apple Safari gets credit card scanning feature

The new iOS 8 trick, spotted by 9to5mac, works with any site, automatically picking up when a card number is being requested and giving the option to "Scan Credit Card".

The feature is designed to take the hassle out of entering long numbers on small devices such as iPhones, which often puts people off mobile commerce.

Safari uses can also select credit card details that are stored in its passwords and autofill settings.

Thank you, Jumio, for giving Apple that idea... Funny that I cannot use the same feature to add a card to my iTunes a/c.
