Nasdaq OMX has added MasterCard's SpendingPulse and Sector Insights reports to its global data products subscription service, providing buy-side investors with access to detailed information on consumer spending activity.
The monthly SpendingPulse report provides a macro-economic view of consumer spending trends across markets, drawing on national retail sales and aggregated sales activity from the MasterCard network, as well as estimates for other payment forms.
Meanwhile, Sector Insights offers a weekly snap of retail sales trends within key industry sectors.
