Deutsche Bank has hired Boeing's Kim Hammonds as CIO and global co-head of group technology and operations (GTO), replacing Anthony McCarthy who is quitting the firm.
Hammonds joins at the end of the month and will be based in London, reporting to COO Henry Ritchotte and working alongside current GTO co-head Jim Turley.
Hammonds joined Boeing in 2008 where her most recent role was chief information officer. Previously, she worked at Dell and Ford.
In her new role she will be charged with overhauling the bank's IT systems as part of the 'Strategy 2015+' project set out last year which aims to slash costs by EUR4.5 billion a year by 2015.
Says Ritchotte: "Kim has an excellent track record in transforming business performance through technology and efficiency. This will prove invaluable as we continue to execute Strategy 2015+."
