Spain's la Caixa is bidding to boost take-up of its online broker service with the launch of a social network for investors, a range of new interactive tools, and revamped mobile and tablet apps.
The StockTactics social network, open only to la Caixa customers, is designed to provide investors with a forum where they can share their experience and discuss stock market strategies.
Users can set up a share portfolio, real or simulated, and following its progress under market conditions, as well as view the profiles and portfolios of their fellow investors.
The community - which can be accessed online and via dedicated apps - also provides data on the rankings of the most popular shares in the community, the most profitable portfolios, and the most active investors.
