The self-service Google Offers tool lets businesses build offers within minutes and showcase them to potential customers across Google based on their location and other data gleaned by the search giant.

The Google Maps integration means that customers who search for places nearby participating firms or for similar businesses will see a blue tag icon flagging the offer.

If the customer saves the offer they get a reminder when they are near the store as well as when it is expiring, through e-mail and mobile alerts. Google gets a fee when a customer saves an offer.
