As a 32-bit release, Fontis Corporate 6.4 offers banks a more stable platform and promises improved flexibility in terms of both database and password security functions. Functional enhancements include improvements to the payment instructions module, the balance and transaction reporting function as well as to the options and configuration settings.

The new version is built upon the same platform as the Fontis Internet banking module, allowing banks to offer both corporate PC and Internet banking from one application server.

Leslie Duckett, Fontis sales and marketing manager says: "We have noticed that banks with large corporate clients often favour the PC option. This is because their clients submit thousands of payment instructions in any given day and so the ability to prepare and import those instructions off-line can save them time and money."

He says the 32-bit solution will provide clients with a more efficient and stable platform for their electronic banking requirements particularly in markets where telecommunications are still advancing.
