As the smartwatch craze gathers momentum, StockTwits has developed a widget that delivers trending stock information straight to Meta Watches.
The StockTwits trending ticker widget - available in the latest iOS and Android Meta Watch updates - will let users check information from the social trading platform with a glance at their wrists.
Howard Lindzon, CEO, StockTwits, says: "TheStockTwits widget allows active traders to tap into the pulse of the market. Investors can quickly see what stocks people are talking about right from the wrist. It is the perfect complement to the StockTwits app."
Meta Watch is a veteran in the smartwatch business, designing its first Bluetooth connected efforts back in 2004, but the industry has been a niche concern until recently.
That now looks set to change, thanks to yesterday's much-hyped launch of the Samsung Galaxy Gear, which could be followed into the arena by a long-anticipated Apple rival and a Google offering.
Financial services firms will inevitably investigate how they can harness the new technology, much as Fidelity Investments is currently exploring how to tap into another shiny new toy - Google Glass.
