Through the partnership, SchlumbergerSema will integrate Falcon into its Essentis system for fraud protection and also market Falcon to its customers in Europe and Asia as part of its evolving third party provider services, which include business consulting and managed card services to the payment cards industry.

"This alliance with SchlumbergerSema will significantly expand Falcon’s availability to a broad array of card issuers in Europe and Asia, and greatly compliments our overall international growth strategy," says Michael Chiappetta, vice president of customer analytics for HNC Software.

The first Falcon implementation within Essentis is planned to take place at UBS Card Centre, the card issuing organisation of the Swiss banking group. Already a Falcon customer, UBS Card Centre representatives insisted that Essentis be interoperable with the Falcon fraud detection system.

Falcon, a neural network-based predictive software system that examines transaction, cardholder, and merchant data to detect a wide range of payment card fraud, currently protects more than 400 million payment card accounts worldwide.
