Switzerland-based Telekurs Financial is looking to broaden its appeal by adding an API connection to its real-time global data feed.
The Telekurs MDFstream delivers real-time, delayed and descriptive/fundamental data on equities, traded derivatives, indices, futures, and other traded and OTC financial instruments.
The single connection provides a fast, cost-effective way for Telekurs’ customers to add complete international content to their proprietary product offerings, says the company. MDFstream subscribers can access Telekurs data via simple socket connections, while data libraries permit easy parsing.
The service is geared towards traditional financial service providers as well as new market economy customers, such as Web portals, hosting services and other publishers, that need global financial market data from a single source.
"In the past, lack of international data has limited our ability to get in the door at many institutions, especially the larger ones", says Jim Porter, chairman and CEO of HyperFeed Technologies, a client of Telekurs. "MDFstream has allowed us to quickly add international content, and the comprehensive coverage offered by Telekurs has helped us realise many new market opportunities."
