The Malta Stock Exchange is set to roll out Deutsche Börse's electronic trading system, Xetra.
Having inked a five year contract, Deutsche Börse will organise trading in equities listed on the Malta platform from the middle of next year.
Earlier this year Deutsche Börse's depository Clearstream integrated Malta into its settlement network.
Frank Gerstenschläger, member, executive board, Deutsche Börse, says: "Trading participants in Malta are now connected to a fully electronic network of 4,500 traders in 18 countries."
