The Nyse Technologies Capital Markets Community Platform will provide a range of cloud-based services, enabling customers to purchase the computing power required at a given time rather than use their own systems.

Delivered over the firm's SFTI global network, users will be able to access Nyse Technologies' Superfeed, Risk Management Gateway, Managed Services Hub and Liquidity Centre Network.

The system means customers will get low-latency, on-demand and self-provisioned computing power with the flexibility, agility and cost savings of a cloud environment, says Nyse Euronext.

The platform is currently being beta tested by firms such as Pico Quantitative Trading and Millennium Management ahead of a planned 1 July launch.

Stanley Young, CEO, Nyse Technologies, says: "By leveraging our global reach as a leading exchange operator and technology provider, the cloud is a key component in our effort to create a virtual capital markets community with rapid access to global markets and actionable market information. All of this comes with absolutely no hardware investment, costly infrastructure maintenance or extended time to market for customers, giving them the opportunity to focus on their core business strategies."
