London-based banking technology vendor Focus Solutions has signed a licensing agreement with software supplier Spotlight Interactive to sell the Focus XML-based data capture toolkit goal:technology to South African insurers.
Under the terms of the agreement, South Africa-based Spotlight Interactive will use Focus's goal:technology to complement its front office and back office solutions, focusing on the life and investment markets, namely Spotlight 2001 and Portfolio24.
South African insurers will use the new technology to build validation into applications so that incorrectly completed applications cannot be sent back to the insurer without it being flagged up at point of entry, say the companies. The solution will also help advisors navigate the often lengthy and complex applications effectively.
The company recently signed a similar agreement with MPO Group in the USA to also sell goal:technology.
