DZ Bank inks 5 year Atos Origin contract

Germany's DZ Bank has inked a five year contract with Atos Origin for the management of data centre and infrastructure services supporting IT applications. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DZ Bank provides access to the international financial markets for its partner institutions of 1200 co-operative banks, including Volks- and Raiffeisenbanken, and their customers.

The contract with Atos Origin includes server, storage and database management as well as backup and archiving services. The vendor will deliver these services from its data centres in Essen and Ratingen with technical support for applications development and management coming from Germany and a near-shore operation in Poland.
