The transition to Millennium is scheduled to take place between late August 2010 and early September 2010, with a precise date to be confirmed in June.

In an update to users, the LSE says that it is responding to participant feedback in adopting a 'big bang' approach, with services across both the integrated and dark midpoint orderbooks to commence trading on the same day.

The LSE says a test platform for users is scheduled to be available from early May 2010.

The London exchange has already outlined plans to shift UK cash market trading from the TradElect system to Millennium Exchange in September this year.
