Bursa Malaysia has contracted Thomson Reuters to build a data distribution platform to support its growing trading business.
Under the deal, Thomson Reuters will provide its enterprise platform for information management and real time market data dissemination.
The platform combines the latest versions of Thomson Reuters market data system and direct feed technology, integrating incoming data from Bursa Malaysia and publishing them for distribution to their members.
Lim Jit Jee, CIO, Bursa Malaysia, says: "This new market data gateway from Thomson Reuters will be beneficial to our customers as it allows the Exchange to package market data according to our customers' needs, as well as ensure that information is distributed in an expedient manner."
