The Florida-based credit union has set up Facebook and MySpace pages with videos, photos and discussion threads as well as a Twitter feed.

In addition four spokespeople have been signed up, each with their own pages on a dedicated micro-site.

Tampa Bay Rays baseball player Evan Longoria and "Suite" Caroline Kudelko, a young singer and musician, are promoting the account through blogs, videos and Web site updates.

The credit union has also signed college student Alex Perez as a spokesman after he won an audition that saw 125 people either go to a casting call or submit a video on YouTube. The audition videos have been posted on the site.

Finally, a "character" mum called Kathy provides tips on money management.

The U22 account comes with a debit card with reward points, online and mobile access and free bill pay.
