Scandinavian bank Nordea is rolling out SunGard Adapitv Analytics to improve the measurement and management of counterparty credit exposure in its capital markets products.
The technology provides a framework for distributing complex portfolio-level risk calculations across a grid of servers. The vendor says this will help Nordea calculate a more risk-sensitive credit change metric in order to make better informed trading decisions.
Adaptiv Analytics will be distributed across Nordea's server grid so it can scale according to growing calculation requirements, helping to manage an increasingly large workload and accommodating the addition of new products.
Peter Lunding, business CIO, capital markets products, Nordea, says: "We selected Adaptiv Analytics because we required a calculation engine that is capable of performing under highly volatile conditions, where performance and reliability are key."
Last month Nordea teamed with the vendor to offer clients direct access to its cash management services from the SunGard AvantGard treasury system.
