Clear2Pay says the technology will provide a centralised platform for United Arab Bank's retail and corporate customers.

A phased roll out of the technology across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region will begin in the emirate of Sharjah.

Explaining the decision to choose Clear2Pay, Abdelhamid Ghazouani, EVP, United Arab Bank, says: "Implementing a broad centralised banking application across a number of countries requires a dedicated and professional team of specialists, in addition to excellent and flexible technology. Clear2Pay is able to offer that with local expertise in the region."

The e-banking platform was acquired by Clear2Pay when it bought French outfit Diagram EDI in December 2007.
