KDPW, which is the central institution responsible for the management and supervision of clearing and settlement in Poland, will use the Microsoft platform to enable its domestic and global customers to connect to Swift.

"We needed to implement a solution that would allow our customers the best and most effective solution for exchanging Swift transactions with foreign depositories, but that also took our future international growth plans into consideration, says Slawomir Panasiuk, member of the management board, KDPW. "Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for Swift allows us to provide this connectivity quickly and easily, and provides the flexibility for us to connect additional financial institutions from around the globe as our clients need them."

Microsoft says its software integrates with Swift Alliance, providing global connectivity with SwiftNet, and integrates easily into KDPW's mainframe system.

Installation is underway and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2008.

In separate news, Microsoft says that White Outsourcing, a provider of financial and accounting services to Australian fund managers, has signed up to a hosted system based on BizTalk Server 2006, including Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for Swift.

The new system will provide White Outsourcing with straight-through processing of financial transactions to and from the Swift Alliance Gateway.

White Outsourcing will work with the Decillion Group, a Microsoft partner in the Asia Pacific region, to implement the system. Under the agreement White Outsourcing will link up to Decillion's Swift service bureau.

"We anticipate having over 40 fund managers utilising White Outsourcing's services through the Decillion Swift service bureau, and it will be vital for us to quickly and easily innovate to meet industry growth," says Andy Harrison, director at White Outsourcing. "Decillion's hosted application services based on Microsoft technologies provided the strongest solution and will allow us to scale and quickly add new message types as required in the future."
