Social media marketing agency LiveWorld partnered with communications agency Mindshare to develop and implement the bank's online community for start-ups, called Business Network, which was launched earlier this year.

Built on LiveWorld's Community Center platform and moderation services, the business network features profiles for businesses and individuals, blogs, photo albums, video, podcasts, topical message forums, showcase galleries and many other features.

The service has been designed to enable start-up companies to network and form relationships with each other, as well as utilise the expertise and support of HSBC's business specialists across the UK.

"HSBC is dedicated to the success of our customers. For businesses, especially start-ups, this means creating a successful relationship network and leveraging the knowledge and contacts of others," says Amanda Rendle, head of business marketing, HSBC.

The social network is integrated with HSBC's Knowledge Centre Web site, which features a wide range of business resources.
