Tejpal Chadha, co-founder of Californian market data technology vendor Vhayu, has joined Nirvana Financial - a San Francisco-based hedge fund technology start up - as chief technology officer (CTO) and managing partner.
Chadha joins Nirvana Financial after nine years as CTO at Vhayu, which he co-founded with Ken Williams in 1998.
Prior to launching Vhayu, Chadha was co-founder and CTO of Gizmo Technology Corporation, a company involved in the investigation, development and analysis of key microprocessor technology and systems required for set-top boxes, PCs and embedded and client/server products.
Chadha has also held roles at Intel where he was a lead architect of the Pentium and Merced chips.
Commenting on his new appointment Chadha says: "I was attracted to Nirvana because of their experienced team and exciting vision: to blend EMS, OMS and portfolio management functionality onto one platform for the global market."
Nirvana says Chadha's hiring follows the appointments earlier this year of Peter Curley, former product manager for the Moxy OMS at Advent Software, and Andy Volz, former head of Color Palette application support at Citi-subsidiary Lava Trading.
